🇺🇸 Calligraphy – the process of creation 海 – English below
Zbožňuju moře, oceány a velká jezera. Ten svěží vzduch a rytmus vln mě naplňuje pokaždé radostí a vděčností. Také máte rádi hřmot vln?
Zhruba před 9 měsíci jsem se rozhodla, že vytvořím kaligrafii, kde tyto pocity zobrazím. Měla jsem tedy už v létě 2019 představu, jak bude kaligrafie vypadat. A těch 9 měsíců jsem za tou představou šla.
V létě jsem viděla moře Egejské a Jaderské a na podzim neuvěřitelný Atlantský oceán v Portugalsku! To byla taková síla! V Portu, kde jsem pobývala, mě po prvním dnu u oceánu už nezajímalo nic jiného!
Toužila jsem po velkém formátu. Zkoušela různé papíry a štětce.
Zkoušela jsem všechno možné.
Zoufalství...
Pak smíření, že to chce ještě čas.
V březnu 2020 přišla karanténa kvůli virové epidemii. Hodně času. Co kdybych se k tomu oceánu zase vrátila?
Moc jsem nepřemýšlela a náhodou vyndala ze zastrčené krabičky další štětce 😂
Vypelichané, vyřazené štětce, které mi Mari darovala s tím, že se mi třeba někdy budou hodit...
A najednou se to šlo! Potřebovala jsem ten nejhorší štětec!
Výsledná kaligrafie rozhodně ještě není dokonalá. Také je to malý formát.
Na velký formát si seženu koště – čím horší, tím lepší! 😎

I adore the seas, oceans, and big lakes. The fresh air and rhythm of the waves always fill me with joy and gratitude. Do you also like the roaring of waves?
About 9 months ago I decided to create a calligraphy to depict my feelings. I had an idea in the summer of 2019 what the calligraphy would look like. And I spent those 9 months going chasing the idea.
In the summer I saw the Aegean and Adriatic seas and in the autumn the incredible Atlantic Ocean in Portugal! It was so powerful! In Porto, where I was staying, I wasn't interested in anything else after that one trip the ocean!
I longed for a large format. I tried various papers and brushes.
I tried everything possible. Desperation. Then an understanding that it would take time.
In March 2020 the quarantine came because of the virus pandemic. A lot of time. What if I went back to the ocean?
I didn't think too much and plucked additional brushes out of my box by chance 😂
Thinned, discarded brushes that Mari gave me with the idea that they might eventually come in handy ...
And suddenly it worked! I needed the worst brush!
The resulting calligraphy is not yet perfect. It is also a small format.
I'll get a broom for the big format - the worse the better! 😎
